PUA.ChangeDNS is a generic detection for many individual Security Risks that share the primary functionality of altering DNS settings without permission and for which specific definitions have not been created. A generic detection is used because it protects against many Security Risks that share similar characteristics.

Initial Daily Certified version of virus definitions for Norton security products was released on July 24, 2014 revision 035. It should be noted that users with the older versions of Norton Internet Security are limited to Daily LiveUpdate definitions.
