You can choose whether you want to receive Download Insight notifications when you download an executable file. Turning off Download Insight notifications does not turn off analysis of the executable file that you download.
Whether or not you receive notifications, Download Insight activities are recorded in Security History. The Security History entries include details of all downloaded files that Download Insight processes and notifies. It also contains information about the actions that you perform based on the reputation data of the files.
To turn off or turn on Download Insight notifications
- In the Norton Internet Security main window, in the Web pane, click Settings.
- Under Download Intelligence, in the Download Insight Notifications row, do one of the following:
- To turn off Download Insight notifications, move the On/Off switch to the right to the Off position.
- To turn on Download Insight notifications, move the On/Off switch to the left to the On position.
- Click Apply.
